One on One with Jesus

ONE ON ONE WITH JESUS
Key Verses:

"Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'" John 4:13-14 (NIV)

Revelation

Before they even began to speak, Jesus knew exactly what this woman needed. He just wanted to get the dialogue started. She was a woman who had dealt with a lot of broken relationships. She had been married five times and was living with a man who wasn’t her husband. Honestly, if she had found fulfillment with any of those men, she wouldn’t have needed to keep searching for a new one. Being with a new man was just a well that left her thirsty.

She had theological knowledge. She spoke to Jesus about differences between Jews and Samaritans and the history of her land. She was worshipping, but didn’t fully understand it. She was waiting for the Messiah to show up and explain it to her and her people. This was a woman looking for answers, not just water. She showed up broken, had a conversation with Jesus, and told her entire town that she had found the Savior of the world (verse 42).

God wants to talk with you. It’s not about calling out all of your sin. Instead it’s about showing you how to discover true fulfillment and infuse His living water into every area of your life, your relationships, your work, your hobbies, and your finances. Are you frustrated, nervous, or annoyed about something going on in your life? Come to Jesus and start the conversation.

PRAYER

Lord, I give You every area of my life. You know what I need, and You want to give me the desires of my heart. Reveal to me areas of my life that I have left You out of, and show me how I can partner with You to be all that You’ve called me to be.

In Jesus' name, Amen
