And I told them of the hand of my God which has been good upon me,
and also of the king's words that he has spoken to me. So they said,
"LET US RISE UP AND BUILD."
Then set their hands to this good work.
NEHEMIAH 2:18
LET'S BELIEVE TOGETHER
by Pastor Matt StallbaumMy daughter made me tear up the other day when she said, “Dad, when I grow up, I want to be a hairdresser, a business owner, a gymnastics coach, and a preacher.” Her little heart is taking her dreams and merging them with an eternal impact for Jesus. These are big dreams that are still decades away.
Do you have a dream? I mean a dream so big that you need help to get it done? No matter your answer, know that God has big dreams for you that can only be accomplished when you partner with Him. No matter what you’ve done, good or bad, God takes it all and formulates an impossible outcome that only He can see. He is doing that in our church right now.
East Coast has been building upon the sacrifices of the previous generations for 36 years. The future of East Coast depends on us following God’s plan and continuing to sacrifice for the sake of the next generation. This is our legacy.
Our church has grown from one service to fifteen and from one location to five. Isn’t that incredible? And it’s just the beginning. We are building a foundation for our children to see their dreams with God become a reality. Our future, and theirs, is bright.
The church that God sees is the kind of church that shares the life-giving power of Christ with every single person—no matter their age or stage of life. It’s a church that people can belong to before they understand, a place that affords people the time to grow in God, and a house that makes room for the dreams of His people.
What I see is that God is using each one of us to make a big impact across all of our locations, our community, and our world. Think of it this way, when the tides rise, it's not one single boat that is impacted, every boat rises to a new level. In the same way, as we build together, we all rise together.
God is doing a new thing right now. He wants to show you today that He is up to good things in your life. These things are going to result not only in eternal impact in you but also for our community! Let’s believe together!
You belong to this church before you believe or "behave."
This is the message of grace.
In the past 10 years we've seen...
9,987
RESPONSES TO THE GOSPEL
1,071

Each person has one step that God has for them to take next.
You dont have to do it all in one day.

I was raised as a pastor’s daughter. The pressure to live perfectly led me into a life of rebellion. I became addicted to drugs and alcohol and found myself pregnant, unmarried, and shunned by the church. So I left the church altogether and walked away from God. Addiction took over every part of my life, and I found myself at the end of my rope, contemplating suicide. I decided to give East Coast Online a try. Then I felt God nudge me toward actually walking into an East Coast location. Somehow, I felt like I already belonged at East Coast. Since I moved to Florida, I've been completely free of addiction. Everything I saw online about East Coast has been true. It's everything I hoped it would be.
Ryan and Nicole Lightsey
A few years ago, our marriage was almost torn apart. Ryan turned to alcohol and ended up having an affair. I had to make the tough decision to ask Ryan to leave the house. During that time, Ryan found himself in the hospital and asked Pastor Matt and another friend from church to visit, and he received Christ right there in the hospital. We started walking toward restoration, but the turning point in our marriage was when we started attending a Freedom group together where we both began to see ourselves clearly. We both needed growth, and Freedom set us on the path of falling in love with Jesus and more in love with each other. We are so grateful to our East Coast community that walked with us toward a restored marriage.

My mom died when I was 11. I moved to Merritt Island with my dad soon after. One night I was hanging out at the bowling alley with some friends, and I just decided to walk over to the church to see what was going on and ended up walking into a TNT band practice. A leader invited me to hang out and watch if I wanted to, and he ended up leading me to Christ later that night. I started attending TNT and East Coast as much as I could and started serving by playing drums at TNT services then at weekend services. I’ve been at East Coast for 20 years and am now on staff full time in the Creative Department. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my church community.
RISE AND BUILD
by Pastor Dan StallbaumIn 1992, I started dreaming with the Lord about what kind of church He wanted to build in Brevard County. Out of that came the idea of “Building a Life-Giving Church that Lasts." That concept of building something that would withstand through the years has driven us to make our decisions with the future always in view. This season is no exception.
The future is now, and I have never been more excited about what that future holds for East Coast. Pastor Matt leading this church has been a dream of mine since he was in the first grade. His passion and creativity add so much richness to our future.
As we rise and build together, we are fully committed to growing each campus starting with breaking ground on a new building for our Viera location. Here's why we're investing in a building in Viera.
While talking about multisite church at an ARC conference more than a decade ago, God placed the dream in my heart to plant a church in Viera. Viera has become a “magnet city” in Brevard County, attracting people from all over to shop, eat, and recreate. As such, it is now our county seat with people coming to the area to attend court, receive care at the health department, the hospital, and VA hospital, as well as for shopping and dining—not to mention the hidden culture of people in Viera who are there to work in the retail and foodservice industries. Although Viera is considered an upscale area, let us remember that this part of our Brevard County family is just as needful of the gospel as any of us. Even more, the next generation of leaders has always captured my heart, and Viera is home to the largest high school in Brevard County, which means it is bursting at the seams with young people who desperately need Jesus.
But it doesn't stop there. This Rise & Build campaign will impact all of our locations. Not only are we building a new building in Viera, but we are also redoing the parking lots at the Parkway and Avenue locations as well as outfitting our Cocoa location to house a daycare! We want to ensure we make every space a place where our community can come and experience the love of God without hindrance.
Let's unite around that vision to invest and expand so we can serve our community and the next generation, together!
