So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.

1 Peter 1:13

The baby in the manger was the Word made flesh. Could that little baby truly be the answer to the brokenness on the earth? He came and dwelt among us to live as one of us and bridge the gap between God and man, made wide by sin. God sent Himself to us. He is Immanuel, God with us. And not just with us but for us, made evident by this revelation of good news, that the king has come to give His life for His people. In Him, we can place all our hope.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank you for stepping down from your throne to come to the Earth that you created in order to demonstrate your great love for me. Remind me today that you are Immanuel, God with me. No matter what I have done, you will never leave me. I place all my hope in you today, Lord. Amen.
