Love is of God

Week 3, Day 5

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7

This verse donned our Flourish t-shirts last year in big bold block letters that proclaimed “LOVE”. One of the easiest ways to know if your heart is in the right place is to do a quick, “LOVE” check. Do you genuinely love the people around you or do you spend a lot of time tolerating their actions because you do not want confrontation? Are there people you avoid when you see them in public (or Publix), not because you are having a bad hair day, but because you have been hurt and can’t handle the thought of interacting with them? Be encouraged today that even if you do not feel love, if you are born of God, you already have that love living on the inside of you. And through the Holy Spirit’s power, you can walk in love for others.
