Take an Honest Look

Week 1, Day 2

"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24 NIV

Psalm 139 paints a beautiful picture of intimacy. The Creator of the Universe knows you and has always known you- even before you were born. He understands your motivations and thoughts. Yet the psalmist shows us that even though all of that is true, the Lord desires us to take an honest look with Him into our hearts, giving Him full access to prune away any part that does not clearly reflect Him.
