Worship Team
East Coast Christian Center is a vibrant community of believers who love to abandon themselves to worshiping God with sincere passion coupled with real reverence. We have been gifted with a diverse array of anointed “War-Shipers” who stand on the front lines and lead us in offering our praises and adoring our Father as we “make His praise glorious.” (Psalm 66:2)
The Worship Team
Chris Johnson
Lead Worship Pastor - cjohnson@eccc.us
Chris’s distinct whistle caught the ear of Senior Pastor Dan Stallbaum when Chris was only 13 years old, and Dan knew then that ECCC’s future worship leader was somewhere inside that talented young teenager. Fast forward several years to May 2002, when Chris, by then the worship leader for TNT’s youth band, stepped into leadership as the worship pastor for ECCC. A Psalmist in the truest sense of the word, his passion is for people to experience God’s glory, to catch a glimpse of His beauty and goodness through worship. He is thankful that his pastors pushed him out of his musical comfort zone to pastoring and teaching. He loves people, and serves as a mentor to others, helping them walk in their calling as musicians and songwriters. Chris is also a Morning Breath co-host and a graduate of Life Christian University. Chris and his wife, Leigh Ann, have one son, Aden, and two daughters, Kerrigan and Hannah. Family time is tops on his list, including Wii with his kids and dates with his wife. Other hobbies include working out, whistling, beat-boxing, and just making noise in general.
Jonathan Walling
Staff Worship Leader - Mezzanine and Avenue Worship Center - jwalling@eccc.us
Jon Walling has been leading worship in various capacities at ECCC since 2001. This singer-songwriter has led the Mezzanine band for the past five years, writing many of the songs on the Mezzanine’s full-length recording project Come Away, released in the fall of 2009. Jon also oversees the weekly acoustic service at the Avenue Worship Center. A connoisseur of the cinematic and culinary arts in his free time, Jon is also a firm supporter of and participant in activities relating to our second amendment rights.
Amanda Walker
Volunteer Worship Leader - Mezzanine and Avenue Worship Center - awalker@eccc.us
Vocalist and keyboardist Amanda Walker plays a lead role on both the Mezzanine Young Adult Church and Parkway Worship Center teams. This singer-songwriter has several songs on the Mezzanine’s full-length recording project, Come Away, released in the fall of 2009. She feels blessed to be able to work with leaders who have a passion and zeal for the things of God, and is excited to see what opportunities may arise from that project. Amanda spends her spare time writing worship songs, experimenting with hair styles and color, and hanging out with friends.
Matt Ericson
Volunteer Worship Leader - Youth - mericson@eccc.us
Matt Ericson joined the ECCC family in 2007. He immediately began serving with the worship team, playing guitar with both the adult band and TNT youth band. In January 2008, he and his wife Deanna teamed up to lead Identity’s worship band. They assist the middle school leadership staff, where Matt has also has the opportunity to speak. They are excited to be available to set a positive example of a Godly marriage to young people. In their day jobs, Matt is a firefighter and Deanna is former teacher and stay-at-home mom. In their free time, they like to surf and enjoy the outdoors. They enjoy traveling and are parents to one very cute little boy, Isaac, and two very large dogs.
Bradley Morris
Volunteer Worship Leader - Youth - getaholdofbrad@yahoo.com
Eight years ago, Bradley first felt the call to begin playing music for the glory of God. After extensive mentoring under Pastor Chris, Bradley was recently passed the torch of TNT worship leader in early 2010. He believes there are fewer things more rewarding than having the privilege of helping usher God’s kids into His presence on a weekly basis, and loves the passionate, selfless pursuit of worship. When he’s not playing music, he enjoys cruisin’ in his ridiculously loud Jeep Wrangler and hanging out with friends and family.
Beverly O’Sullivan
Volunteer Worship Leader / Vocal Director — All Teams - faithfulservant007@hotmail.com
Beverly and her family joined ECCC in 1993 and the rest, as they say, is history. A long-time member of the worship ministry leadership, Bev leads on a regular basis, oversees the choir, and serves as the vocal director. A favorite part of leadership for her is encouraging others to stand firm and fulfill their purpose in Christ. Bev has been married to her sweetheart, Chris, for over thirty years, still calling him “the most awesome man who ever walked this earth except for Jesus!” Family time is loud and lively with their five grown children - Chris, Jr., Atasha, Andrea, Ariana, and Arica - and five grandkids (Adriana, Gavin, Chris III, and twins Noelle and Nevaeh).
